A welcome to the IoT Health Slam 2016 IoT for Healthcare and an introduction from Chair / and Internet of Things Community Advisory Board Chairman – Bill Mortimer.
Also on the line, Chris Sullivan – Health Slam Advisory Board Chairman.

During the intro, Bill and Chris will highlight key details and updates on directions and community efforts for 2016. Chris will also share an overview of the Health Slam industry focus framework and highlights.

IoT Slam Virtual Internet of Things Conference Spirent LogoBill is Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the wireless, positioning, service assurance businesses at Spirent Communications. He is currently working on developing new businesses in the Internet of Things, Connected Car and Mobile Service Assurance & Customer Experience. Prior to joining Spirent, he worked as a General Manager for 7 years in the Communications Test business at JDSU and 14 years at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies in Canada, USA and Germany. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bell Northern Research, Manitoba Telephone System and Idacom Electronics. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Manitoba. Bill is a Canadian, and has lived and worked in Sindelfingen, Germany for the last 14 years.

Global Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies

Zebra Technologies - Health Slam 2016Chris Sullivan is the Global Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies and is responsible for the strategy and marketing functions for the Healthcare vertical business. Chris began his career with Cardinal Health in 1993 and spent 16 years in sales, marketing, operations, and strategy leadership positions with Cardinal Health. In 2008, Chris joined W.W. Grainger to lead the strategy formation and creation of its Healthcare business. While at W.W. Grainger, he created an industry first business model – designed around the Environment of Care regulatory standards – and distinguished by its innovation, marketplace differentiation, and commercial success. Chris is a Board of Directors member and quality control committee chairperson for Chicago-based Swedish Covenant Hospital. He also has served as a Board member for the Healthcare Supply Chain Research Consortium, and the 10,000 Villages organization.
